2 steps forward, 1 step back

5km moderate pace | 25:21 Finished 5km on the grass last night feeling very average. Legs were tired, shins hurt. Walked home and finished with 30 mins spinning. Bad day at the office. Physio booked for Thursday arvo. Mood: :(

Stick with the ice (maybe 2-3 times a day 10-20min), and check if worn-out shoes and/or poor cushioning in shoes is a major contributor. Stay with grass, beach or bush (the americans call it trail running)/cross country as soft surfaces less impact on shins than bitumen, and avoid concrete at all costs. Cycling or surfing are good ways to maintain conditioning while resting the shins.

Thanks TB777, will do. I'll up the ice to x2/day. Running on new Brooks Adrenilins & ASICS GT2100 (both about 100km old) so shouldn't be a problem there. Patience I guess.
