EDIT: I just realized that I ran a 2 minute PB today ! For some stupid reason I thought that my Blackmores time was 1:50:XX, but in fact it was 1:54:08.
It was a 6.45am start this morning and we took off straight up a bloody big hill. From there the hills just kept on coming. My splits were:-

I'm very happy with that considering that I've been fattened up in the top paddock for the past two weeks. Whilst I've been running last week, you couldn't really call it training. Come to think of it, I was running moderately in hilly terrain rather than tapering. The course is much harder than Blackmores as there is no flat bits which give you time to rest, regroup etc. If your not going up - your going down.
I've finished with a slight hamstring strain - my first one ever. So I must read up on that over the next few days.

Woohoo!! Sensational run on a tough course Gronk. Congratulations on your latest PB, that sub-1.50 is not very far away now!
J.
Gronk,
Well done on the PB. Much tougher course than the Sydney half.
Gronk, that is some effort running a PB on that course. Congratulations! You definitely have a sub 1:50 in you in the not too distant future.
Top effort, Gronk.
You have been blitzing it since that injury - make sure you take care of that hammy so you can continue with this outstanding form.
Cheers,
Ben
Well done!
Gee that handicaper was a bit tough setting you a target of 1:45 but looks like it stretched a nice PB out of the bag. Imagine how you'll go on a flatter course!
The Handicaper obviously had a cunning plan Dave. ;)
YEAH!!! a 2 min Pb on Lane cove is fantastic! It is a tough course.. Well done!
Fattening up must lead to good times, great training method! Take it easy on the hamstring. 1:52 is a good pace, congrats heaps. :)
Congrats on the PB mate! Fantastic to hear that you're still running well.
Sorry that I can't help you with the hammie problem though. Not a strong point of mine experience-wise
way to go...sounds tough...
